Meet Francis: Offbeat Travel Program Manager in Constanza

By Elisabet Raquel Garcia | Thursday, February 9th

Meet Francis, Offbeat Travel’s Program Manager in Constanza and Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic

“Taking the first step is not the hardest. The hardest part is choosing to be bold enough to take that first step.”

Born and raised in the mountainous city of Constanza, Francis is the coordinator for Offbeat operations in Constanza and nearby neighboring city, Jarabacoa. He’s been working in the field of experiential education since 2017.

He oversees programs that foster student leadership development and social impact initiatives, which include everything from beautifying parks to building aqueducts and black water treatment systems. His favorite part about being in this field is witnessing students' evolution and the impact they bring to people’s lives of the community members they collaborate with.

Francis describes himself as being an explorer who loves to discover new landscapes and meet new people along the way. In his freetime, when he’s not busy managing programs in Constanza, you can find him exploring new places around the country or playing video games and having a great time with friends.
