Meet Daniel: Offbeat Travel Program Coordinator

By Elisabet Raquel Garcia | March 21, 2023

Meet Daniel: Offbeat Travel’s Program Coordinator in Constanza, Dominican Republic 2022 and coming to Costa Rica in 2023

“Get out and explore. Be fearless. Every experience in life is an opportunity to learn and grow more as a person”.

Daniel was born and raised in the country’s capital, Santo Domingo, but he’s a pro at giving tours of the country’s mountainous side in the city of Constanza, where he spent his first summer as a program leader running multiple trips.

Although 2022 was Daniel’s first summer with Offbeat, he’s been working in the field of educational travel for a while now and has a background working with the Dominican Scouts Association.

Daniel’s favorite activity on these programs is when he gets to take students to engage and connect with local communities. His favorite part of doing this work is helping students discover themselves by exploring the world around them and being able to witness their growth everyday.

Daniel says that curiosity is one of the engines that make him move everyday. In his free time, you can find him cooking, camping, exploring the countryside, or cruising around the city on his skateboard to find new cool spots to hang.
